The Institute is headed by the Director and the total sanctioned strength of officers and staff is 47 comprising technical and administrative personnel. The break-up of the posts is as follows:

An inter-disciplinary team comprising Engineers and Economists who have specialised knowledge and vast field experience in conducting necessary pre-investment studies to identify sites for development of Fishery Harbours, Fish Landing Centres and Brackishwater Shrimp Farms, preparation of techno-economic feasibility reports, detailed construction plans for the projects and other supporting facilities are on roll of this Institute.
